Skating Through Ottawa
Last Sunday, Mya and I drove three hours north to Ottawa for a long weekend. We both had MLK day off, and we took Tuesday off as well. The trip was mostly bland, but we did see a police car pulled over, but he was on the left side of the road, which was unusual, my hypothesis was that there was a dead deer, but when we drove by, we saw that it was an owl! (Later this was confirmed on Facebook, and the owl was taken to a bird sanctuary.) The other event of note on

The Bone Temple
Last year, we got the first new movie in the 28 universe in almost two decades, and then this year, we already got another installment a year later, and it mostly continues the story from the one that came out last year. It is rare for a franchise to have this short of a turnaround, but less than a year later, we are back! This had many worried that the quality would drop because of the short turnaround, but this was not the case, this held up to the quality of the last one.

Dumpuary
So far this year we have a rabid monkey, a weird zombie apocalypse, and a sequel to a movie no one cared about. It has started hot.

A Visual Feast
One of the best films of the year came out on Netflix, and it was not Frankenstein. It was a much smaller scale movie called Train Dreams , and it was made by the same guys who made Sing Sing , which was one of my favorite films last year, so it makes sense that their follow up was equally as impressive, and hopefully they continue to pump out some amazing films. Train Dreams starts out in the late 1800s, Robert Grainer is a logger and railroad worker, and he mar

Save The Bees
Last Friday, I went to the movies after work like usual. Since it was Halloween, I wanted to see something scary, and there were two new releases. One was called Violent Ends , and the other was called Bugonia . I did not know anything about either of them, except for who was starring in and directing Bugonia , so I assumed it was not scary, and a movie called Violent Ends that came out on Halloween was guaranteed to be a horror movie. Of course, I was wrong. Violent Ends e
